10/6/2008   Community Yard Sale

On Saturday, October 18th there will be a community yard sale. All homeowners are encouraged to participate. The Yard Sale will commence at 7am and conclude at 2pm. The gates will be open to allow the public to come in and look around. The north community park area can also be used to set up and sale your items. Please join us as this will be a great time to clean out your house and garage by selling those old belongings. We have announced our community yard sale in the newspaper as well as other media outlets. We should have a great turn out!

7/10/2008   CRIME WATCH

At the July 2008 monthly homeowners meeting we had the pleasure of having the Cutler Bay Police Department address our community and provide some suggestions on how to make our neighborhood safer. Mayor Paul Vrooman also made a surprise visit and addressed the board and residents present at the meeting.  One of the many suggestions was to create our very own Citizens’ Crime Watch. To that end we are looking for volunteers from the community to organize and lead this effort. If anyone is interested please contact the board and visit the Citizens’ Crime Watch website for more information. www.citizenscrimewatch.com

How to Start a Citizens' Crime Watch

Inform neighbors how Citizens’ Crime Watch works through informational flyers provided by Citizens’ Crime Watch.

Identify a Neighborhood Chairperson and organize the first meeting. At least 30% participation is required to organize your group.

The meeting is conducted by a Citizens’ Crime Watch Coordinator and a Police Officer.

After meeting, a Telephone Chain and assignment of Block Captains is set up by the Neighborhood Chairperson.

Citizens’ Crime Watch signs are to be placed at key entrances to the Neighborhood once organized. There is no cost for signs.

Once a group is organized, the Chair or a member may attend monthly meetings to report your activities and learn what other Crime Watch groups are doing. These meetings are held the 1st Wednesday of every month at 10:00 am at the Citizens’ Crime Watch main office.

12/19/2007   UPDATE YOUR GATE CODES
Greetings,

Due to recent security issues such as vehicle break-ins and the misuse of entry gate codes by individuals not living in the community or that have moved out of the neighborhood the following action will be taken.

All gates codes will be re-issued and a new gate code assigned to each homeowner. Effective November 19, 2007, gate codes will be deleted from the system and will occur on a weekly basis until all codes have been updated. A temporary code will be created for those homeowners that their gate codes have been deleted. This code will work temporarily for a week and then a new one created for the next batch of deleted codes. All homeowners are required to update their information on the gate entry system as well as obtain a new code. Deletion of old gates codes will continue throughout the next few weeks.

Temporary gate Code: 5040

How do I obtain a Gate Code to enter & exit the community?

If you are a homeowner and need to input your name and number into the gate entry system or obtain a gate code you will need to provide the following information.

1)   Lot Number. This is the same as the account number for your monthly homeowner’s association dues.

2)   First and Last name. Will be placed in the gate entry directory so visitors can find your name.

3)   Telephone Number. This is the telephone number that the gate entry system will call you on so you can communicate with the visitor at the entrance/exit gate. If you choose to allow them to enter just press “9” on your telephone and the gate will open.

4)   4 digit code.  This is the access code that you will use to enter and exit the community.  It cannot be a number that is easily figured out. No codes such as: 1234, 2223, 5555, or the current year 2006, 2007, 2008, etc…

If you need to update your information or change your access code please follow the instructions outlined above and also include your current access code as well as the new access code you wish to use. Once you have completed all the information please forward it to:
